By now dear readers, I am sure that you are aware of my love for the oversized accessory! This season, the statement necklace is one to have and to hold near and dear and will look va-va-vacious with whatever ensemble you decide to don for the day or night. My motto is, “If it isn’t BIG, then go home!” I hate dinky, stinky necklaces, earrings, and bracelets that barely make a bleep on the radar. Stir up your favorite mono (chromatic) lovely with an in-your-face necklace. I love the all-white multi-strand above and wouldn’t just wear it by it’s lonesome. Instead, mix in your favorite drippy metallics for some added zing-a-ling and for a color injection wear some colorful kicks.
Necklaces, literally a pain in your neck?? Skip them then and try some “Wowser” earrings. I love the look of the gold filigrees above and can see them easy breezy with a ribbed white tank and perfectly-fitting denim or a black, white, or gold bandage dress for evening-time fun!
If non-pierced ears are the problemo, skip them too and try a fabulously adorned cuff-style bracelet. Who could resist the vintage appeal of the sky blue number from J.Crew above… A serious gift from heaven this staple will get you compliments to the moon and back. How would I really make it a stand-out??? I would do it with a crimson colored top, dress, or otherwise. Wait til you see how sexy that contrasting combo will be.
Whatever your taste go big or you’ll go unnoticed. Accessories are there to boost your whole look up a notch… But remember too much of a good thing is usually a disaster. Whichever super-size piece you pick make sure the rest of your accompaniments take a backseat. Don’t show off all your secrets at once…. You’ll spoil all the fun.
