About Jane
A native of Akron, Ohio Jane is a 2001 Wittenberg University graduate, where she earned her BA in English with a minor in Spanish. As a Wittenberg student, Jane was a member of the student-run newspaper The Torch where she not only took on the role of Associate Editor, but also launched Witt’s first style page. Subsequent to graduation, Jane studied abroad in London, England at the London College of Fashion where she concentrated her studies in Fashion Journalism and Public Relations. In conjunction with attending the College, she also worked as an Editorial Intern for the widely known and highly respected trend-forecasting Website: Worth Global Style Network (www.WGSN.com) whose prestigious subscribers include major fashion designers such as Ralph Lauren and Georgio Armani among countless others. Simultaneously Jane interned at the London-based Public Relations firm Halpern PR and Associates whose clients include: Zegna, Miss. Sixty, and other well-known brands. Upon returning to the States Jane has done freelance PR work for New York fashion designer Nary Manivong who debuted at New York fashion week in 2006, she writes monthly fashion columns for the local model/talent agency Pro-Model and Talent Management seen on www.pmtm.com, and writes seasonal trend updates for the Chicago-based jewelry line Chic Gems Etc. that can be read on chicgemsetc.com.
Prior to the launch of “See Jane Style” on Ohio.com as well as her inside fashion industry experience Jane has always stayed abreast of the latest fashion trends and has been a go-to source to all who know her for garment guidance and shopping assistance. A self-proclaimed “Fashionista” Jane enjoys providing style advice, trend forecasting, critiquing fashion nightmares, scouring the Web for the latest and greatest fashion websites, and most of all SHOPPING!
